The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) today mourns the death of four journalists during the crackdown by Egypt security forces to clear the pro-Morsi sit-ins on Wednesday in Cairo.

‘‘We are shocked and saddened to learn the loss of our colleagues who died because they believed in the purpose and mission of journalism,'' said IFJ President Jim Boumelha.

Just before the famous historic mobilization in Egypt on June 30, IndustriALL Global Union organized two more seminars for workers representatives from energy, textile and garment industries in Alexandria and Mahalla.

 

The seminars were held within the framework of the global union’s special program to support independent unions in the largest populated Arab country.
